MOSA Convention March 25/26, 2010
Associate Degree Nursing - Priceless!
To register for the convention, talk to your Student Nurse Organization Advisor.

MOSA is planning to have a fun activity on Thursday evening - See details.
Fees & the form for this activity are to be sent to the MOSA Treasurer Freedom Newton, (not with registration).
You are invited to join the MOSA Board for a barbeque on March 25, 2010 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Vicksburg Convention Center. There will be dinner, a live DJ, and door prizes, so put on your cowboy boots, and join us! The cost of this event is $15.00 for MOSA members and $25.00 for non members (includes admission, food, and a T-shirt) and $10.00 for MOSA members and $20.00 for non members (admission and food; no T-shirt). Guests are welcome to attend at the non member rates. If you would like to join us please fill out the application. Hope to see you there!

What is so special about MOSA?
If you are a student nurse currently enrolled in a nursing program in Mississippi,
you are eligible for membership in MOSA and the benefits of membership.
MOSA provides AD Nursing students of MS the opportunity to collectively work together through
statewide community service projects and to come together annually for a state convention.
Convention provides an opportunity to recognize Excellence in Nursing as awards
and scholarships are granted. Also educational opportunities are outstanding!
Be a member of an organization that represents the past, present and future
accomplishments of Associate Degree Nursing! As members and peer elected officers of MOSA,
you will have the opportunity to grow professionally, educationally
and personally as student nurses networking together.
MOSA’s Mission:
This organization strives to promote nursing at the local, state and national levels;
to promote & maintain Associate Degree Nursing as the entry level into nursing practice;
and to maintain both the Registered Nurse title and the current scope of practice.

MOSA provides an opportunity to serve as a leader and to become familiar
with the RN organization that advocates for Associate Degree Nursing.
Being a MOSA member prepares you to be a part of the
MS Organization for Associate Degree Nursing upon passing NCLEX-RN®.

Your chapter by-laws need to be in compliance with these.
Your chapter organization will have state advisors that will help you
and also state MOSA officers. They are available to answer any questions and to visit with your group.
